The commission here was to provide solutions to several different spaces around this new build property, which benefited from its seclusion and its southerly aspect.

We created a main patio and entertaining space next to the living area, which contains a water feature providing a complementary backdrop to the sounds of nature. A slate step stone path leads down to a sunny wrought iron arbor up which scented climbers and Clematis are trained. This is a wonderfully private and tranquil spot.

To the side of the house we created a brick 'carpet' where the last of the afternoon sun may be found, and adjacent to that are a series on nine brick edged beds for bulbs, annual planting and salad crops.

Colourful mixed planting surrounds the whole garden into which a series of uplighters have been placed giving the garden a soft glow at night.
